I suddenly felt the need to post this. When I logged in my Facebook account this morning, I encountered some stark words on my news feed. Although those messages were never intended for me, I felt bad both for the person who posted and the person referred by those harsh words...
More than thinking before speaking, I guess it's more important to feel before we speak..
Words hurt us for a LONG time...I dare saying: for ever. Thank you for this video.
ReplyDeleteYes, words do hurt, and with the internet, they are out there in cyberspace forever! Thanks for this thoughtful post, Diane.
ReplyDeleteBy the way....I read the best book over the weekend, and a great deal about the book is the Philippines! :D
I loved it, and I was thinking about you the whole time I was reading it. It is called Falling Together by Marisa de los Santos.
Hi Ricki! Thanks for appreciating the video. Shame on me because I haven't read Marisa de los Santos' book :-( Over the weekends, I will surely check the bookstore and grab a copy.
DeleteThanks for remembering me :) Have a great week ahead

Hi Diane, Hope life is treating u well, ive been so busy, sorry i havent visited in awhile, but i never forget u, ur always in my thoughts....Good video , and right on time, i have experienced some really mean online people, and it does hurt, i always try "feeling" before i speak, what a good concept........Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI get really sad when I read stuff like that on Facebook. I don't really write anything personal on my own FB because I am never big into drama. I was bullied a lot growing up, so I wouldn't want to cause the same pain.
ReplyDeletethis is so true... sometimes it's hard to avoid saying certain things, but words cut so deep. We've definitely got to work to feel before we speak, because that is the only way to live in a positive light and know you are not hurting others. Sorry to be so late getting back to you! Your giveaway looked beautiful! I wish I would have looked in time for it! A very late Merry Christmas to you and a happy new year to you as well!! I hope you are doing well lately!!!
