Last week, I was too excited to introduce Samgyeopsal to my least adventurous family members. Prior to the weekend, I read a number of food blogs showcasing their own DIY samgyeopsal. I came across My Korean Kitchen and encountered for the first time, Korean Spicy Green Onion Salad.
Ingredients include spring onion, calamansi, soy sauce, sesame seeds, sugar and sesame oil. I skipped the chili flakes because not everyone at home has my tolerance for spiciness.
I didn't use all the calamansi. :p Simply mix everything according to your taste. I also added slices of indian magoes on the side. For me, having the mango slices tasted better, especially when eaten with my most awaited lettuce and grilled pork belly.
