For the longest time, I used my favorite yellow chair whenever I work from home. This was still pre-COVID19 times. It's still alive and survived my overweight self last year. Btw, that chair has been a product of the rare compensation from this blog. It has been with me for years, remained durable and more importantly, aesthetically pleasing. :) But to be honest, it wasn't comfortable, especially on prolonged hours of work. 

Halfway last year, I planned to purchase a real office chair, the one with cushioned seat and comfortable back support. I initially wanted a humongous gaming chair. I'm not engaged in online games, but I appreciate the full back and neck support it provide. I also want to catch someone else's attention. :p For the longest time, I have another office crush again. I only see him during online meetings seated in a very intimidating gaming chair. With a similar chair, I thought he can notice me. But then, I have a feeling he is already taken. (Sad..  iyak-tawa hahaha) In the end, I didn't pursue the purchase because of space considerations. My small bedroom can no longer accommodate another wfm furniture.

With all the variety of office chairs in Lazada, this mesh style appeared so popular. I wasn't impressed at first because I thought the mesh material was weak and not comfortable at all. But all the reviews changed my mind. The price point and budget also made it together. So in the end, I acquired it during the 12-12 sale. 

The chair was easy to assemble, except for the arm rest. The screws don't seem to match with the intended holes. A number of reviews also complained of the same difficulty. In my case, I entrusted everything to my Dad's capability and patience. :p 


After months of usage, I can say that I received my money's worth. The mesh back support was surprisingly comfortable. It feels as if my back is rested on a hammock. The curved back support was also perfect. 


I've seen different forms of mesh office chair, even from high end furniture shops. As it appears, this is a trend these days. It's a diversion from the traditional thick and cushioned office chair. 

While everything looks perfect, careful examination of the chair revealed minor flaws. One is the loose mesh fabric on the upper section of the back rest. It also feels as if the mesh will eventually part ways with the chair's frame. Hopefully, this will not happen. 


The seat is comfortable and supports more than half of my thigh area. But again, careful examination shows that the fabric is not perfectly stretched out on the seat support. I'm afraid that this will lead to early damages. I also have a feeling that the seat will not be strong enough to support a lot of weight. 

The arm rest did not came with cushion and I find it a little low for my height. The seat height tilt adjuster, base frame and wheels also feel sturdy. Unlike my old swivel chair, the wheels are attached to a stainless steel base. More often than not, the ones sold in stores are made of plastic. 

Despite the flaws, I'm satisfied with this Lazada purchase. I will recommend it to anyone still under wfm arrangement. With gentle use, I believe its life span can be prolonged.
